The Epping Fryer
If you're looking for somewhere unusual to have a delicious supper of Fish and Chips, or a lunchtime outing accompanied by Fish and Chips, then the Epping Ongar Railway's Epping Fryer dining train is the perfect place for you.
We can cater for singles, couples, families and even larger groups who want to celebrate a special anniversary, birthday or just a great time with friends.
With evening and daytime dining options, enjoy a scrumptious meal of Fish and Chips on board one of our heritage trains as you journey through the Essex countryside.

Afternoon Cream Tea Train
We are pleased to offer a chance to enjoy a delicious cream tea whilst you relax and take a steam hauled journey through the Essex countryside.
The fare includes an all-day rover ticket, allowing unlimited travel all day on our heritage steam and diesel trains and vintage London buses, and a cream tea (a large rustic scone, clotted cream, strawberry jam and, of course, tea or coffee) on board the train during the afternoon. Places are limited and sell out fast, so to avoid disappointment and book now.
Real Ale Trains
We also run several evening Real Ale trains with a selection of ales available from our on-train Flag and Whistle bar! These trains have an option to include a fish and chip supper. Travel tickets include vintage London bus connections from Epping Underground station and, on certain dates, Shenfield, meaning you can leave the car at home!
