Class 08 Diesel Shunter - 08114

08114 was built at Derby works and entered traffic numbered 13180 in October 1955. Although it had a brief spell away at Saltley depot in Birmingham, the locomotive remained allocated to Derby depot until it transferred to Cricklewood East in June 1956. Following the 1957 renumbering scheme, the locomotive was renumbered to D3180 in late 1959. It remained based at Cricklewood until November 1967 when it returned to Derby.

By October 1971 the locomotive had moved to Doncaster. With the introduction of the TOPS numbering scheme in 1973 the locomotive became 08114. Withdrawn in November 1983, 08114 managed to evade the scrap yard and was initially moved to the the Great Central Railway at Loughborough in 1983. It subsequently moved to the Great Central Railway (North), now the Nottingham Heritage Railway.
