Visiting Hunslet Austerity to work steam services28th August 2019

Steam hauled services over the weekend of 30 August to 1 September will be operated by visiting Hunslet Austerity locomotive, 3890 . This was the last standard steam locomotive to be built for the UK (prior to recent new build steam locomotives) and was the 484th locomotive of the type produced. Built in February 1964 the locomotive worked at Cadeby Main Colliery in South Yorkshire for just 6 years. It carries its National Coal Board number of 66.
