Varied work of our volunteers9th December 2021
Our Epping Ongar Light Fantastic trains presented a different challenge last night (Wednesday 8 December) when our Train Manager was asked if he could help a party on the train.
A passenger calmly explained that her son had thrown her phone out of a window! She gave us a vague location on a map to a point about half a mile north of the tracks. Undeterred the volunteers of the track maintenance team took the task in hand and had retrieved the phone within minutes.
The volunteers at the Epping Ongar Railway are essential to the safe and smooth running of the Railway as our passengers found out that night!
