Special Tickets for Ongar Farmers and Craft Market22nd July 2021

Why not visit the Ongar Town Forum Farmers and Craft Market by heritage bus and train?

To get to Ongar buy one of our special single Railway Rambler tickets that will allow you the chance to take a heritage bus from Epping to North Weald to connect with a train service bringing you to Ongar in good time for the Market.

Budwirth Hall and Ongar High Street

You can spend a full morning in Ongar, have lunch and enjoy the stalls, take a stroll up to the oldest wooden church in the world at Greensted and if you would want to return on foot to Epping use the well-signed Essex Way.

However if you're feeling laden with goodies from the market or maybe that lunch was just a little too heavy then present your Railway Rambler ticket at the booking office at Ongar after 2pm and ask for a 'Market Saver' for £3.

On the first market day we're expecting members of the Chingford Morris to join us - come along for some good old-fashioned fun and merryment!

The Railway Rambler ticket is only valid on the 09.45 heritage bus service from Epping Underground station, and the 10.10 diesel train service from North Weald.
The Market Saver Return is only available after 14.00 to holders of Railway Rambler tickets on market days in Ongar and can only be obtained at Ongar booking office on presentation of a Railway Rambler ticket for that day.

You can purchase Railway Rambler tickets, in advance, here.

Ongar Town Forum is holding its first Farmers' Market and Craft Market on Sunday, August 1.

A variety of stalls will be in the Pleasance car park - next to Chipping Ongar Library - in the High Street from 10am until 2pm.

The forum intends to hold the markets regularly, on the first Sunday of the month.
