Services resume in February - essential engineering works this Winter3rd January 2026

Following a busy 2025 season, and with the last of our successful Epping Ongar Lights Express trains having arrived back at the station, the Epping Ongar Railway is commencing its essential Winter maintenance and training programme. Steam and heritage diesel services, together with connecting vintage London bus services, will resume during the February half term period. 

Although the railway is not running public services, trains will still be operating in connection with these works, and for education visits, film work, driver experiences and necessary training as appropriate. The public are reminded that it is illegal to trespass on the railway, with an associated risk of serious injury or death; these services will not operate to any published timetable and can run 7 days a week.
