Cancellation of services in December and January20th December 2020
With our part of Essex now falling under tier 4 of the latest government restrictions we have no option other than to cancel our services planned for December and January with immediate effect.
We will be in contact with all passengers who have booked to travel with us over this period, in early January, if not before, to explain the next steps; whether we are able to arrange a transfer to another date, a voucher for future use, or a refund and request that you bear with us as our volunteers work through the logistics of this. We will set up an automated process via our website as the sheer volume of work we have to do is beyond our limited volunteer time. When we have that set up we will send a link to our website and start the process.
Please be patient with us, it will take some time to arrange. As you can imagine our small volunteer team are extremely busy in this respect, so please do wait for us to contact you. We are unable to deal with inquiries any quicker via social media.
The staff and volunteers of the Epping Ongar Railway share the disappointment that the cancellation of services will cause. We wish all our customers a Merry Christmas and as happy a New Year as you can in the currnet circumstances. Stay safe and well and we look forward to seeing you again in 2021.
Naturally with this blow, our fundraising efforts restart and if you are able to help us by making a donation to our £200,000 appeal that would be appreciated.
