CATERING MANAGER (PART TIME - average 2.5 days a week)
LOCATION: EPPING ONGAR RAILWAY based at North Weald Station.
Epping Ongar Railway is a volunteer led railway and tourist attraction. The railway is open every weekend between approximately Easter and Halloween, plus extra days during school holidays and throughout December for our Santa Specials. Each year we attract around 40,000 visitors which are comprised of mainly railway enthusiasts and families.
We are looking for a 'hands-on’ experienced catering manager to run and develop our main catering outlet based at North Weald station which caters for both visitors and staff, currently providing a range of simple cooked food, cakes, sandwiches and drinks. The manager will be responsible for the complete day to day running of catering at North Weald.
Your main objectives will be to maximise sales and profit and provide excellent customer care whilst building and training our enthusiastic volunteer catering team. The manager will need to ensure adequate staff levels via pro-active recruitment, training and rostering of volunteers.
