Cancellation of Winter Bus Event7th February 2025

The Epping Ongar Railway has today announced that, regretfully, the Winter Bus Event scheduled for 23 February has had to be cancelled. 

This is due to ongoing essential engineering work on the Epping to Ongar line, requiring the site at North Weald station to be used for the storage of ballast and construction materials. This heavily impacts on the available space and the ability to stage the event. 

The Railway re-opens for public services in April with both heritage steam and diesel train services and connecting vintage London bus services operating at weekends and on certain weekdays during school holidays through to the end of September. A number of interesting events are also planned during this period, and some will include a heightened and interesting selection of vintage and classic buses.
