To help your cubs navigate the territory, our vintage London buses provide fully inclusive connections from Epping Underground station. Some buses also serve Shenfield and Ongar, safely gathering adventurers from all public bus stops along the route. Plot your journey across the plains and check the train and bus timetables by selecting your date of visit below.
Before you climb aboard, lead your pack into the wilds of Epping to track down the hidden beasts on the Lions on the Loose trail. Once you have spotted the pride, rally your cubs, pounce onto our vintage buses, and charge ahead to join our heritage train services - it truly is a roarsome, action-packed day out for the whole family!
Getting to us
You can start your journey at any of our stations, or on the vintage London bus service from Epping Underground or Shenfield stations.
It's easy to get to us via the London Underground. Our inclusive vintage London buses will run from right outside the front of Epping Underground station (Central Line, zone 6), connecting with our train services at North Weald station. Buses also depart from Shenfield station for connections with Elizabeth Line and Greater Anglia services.
THERE IS NO PUBLIC PARKING AT OUR STATIONS
There is only limited car parking for disabled passengers at our stations, which must be booked in advance. Public car parks are available in Ongar (charges may apply), a short walk from the station (use postcode CM5 9AB); Alternatively passengers may park at Epping Station (charges apply) and join our vintage London bus service (use postcode CM16 4HW).
The bus services are included in your great value fare.

Our branch winds its way through some of Essex's finest countryside and ancient forest, tackling steep gradients as it goes. Each of our stations and stops is unique, and serve great rural locations. What's more, you can enjoy it all from your seat aboard your train, experiencing what it would have been like for passengers to travel on the line all those years ago...
Our award-winning and Grade II listed Great Eastern Railway station at Ongar is believed to be the only original operating station to retain GER colours. As well as Ongar being the start of the underground our line also passes what was the highest point of the Central Line at Coopersale bridge.
