Additional Terms and Conditions in respect of the Coronavirus Pandemic
The number of passengers we can carry on our trains are limited and once booked, we generally do not offer refunds of monies paid for tickets. However please see the detailed additional terms which apply during the coronavirus pandemic below. Limited changes may be possible subject to availability.
The Epping Ongar Railway ("we") will endeavour to run the train and any connecting heritage bus services to the timetables shown. However, we cannot be held responsible for the consequence of any delays howsoever caused. At some events, where a train is advertised as connecting with a heritage bus service, trains will await the arrival of any delayed connecting heritage bus service though time at North Weald station prior to departure of the train may be limited in this case.
Should you miss your booked train we will do our best to accommodate you on a different train on the same day, though as we expect most trains to be at capacity this is not guaranteed.
Should any train be cancelled by the Epping Ongar Railway due to unforeseen circumstances then a full refund of monies paid will be provided. We will not be liable for any consequential loss.
No refunds will be provided should you miss any train, including in cases of severe weather or illness.
Additional Conditions in Relation to the Coronavirus and any Health Protection Regulations or "local lockdowns".
Where you, or a member of your group, is required to self isolate, or the person who made the booking is in a "local lockdown" area then the following additional conditions apply:
A full cash refund will be offered if you cancel with more than 30 days notice of the date of travel.
A full cash refund will be offered in the event that the person buying the ticket gives us one week’s notice that they will be unable to travel due to the need to self-isolate or are in a lockdown area as determined by the address of the person making the booking.
A 50% cash refund will be offered in the event that the person buying the ticket gives us less than one week's notice, and by 12.00 on the day before travel, that they will be unable to travel due to the need to self-isolate or are in a lockdown area as determined by the address of the person making the booking. If we are able to resell the tickets, then a full refund will be offered in this case.
Alternatively, in all of the above cases, the full value of the tickets can be transferred to a future event during the year.
No refunds, or transfers of bookings, will be offered for any cancellations after 12.00 on the day before travel.
We reserve the right to ask for evidence of your inability to travel.
