The Whistling Forester - Class 20 running day19 July

We've got a special treat for class 20 fans on 19th July when our diesel train services will be operated by both of our resident class 20 locomotives, 20001 and 20227.

Class 20 locomotives 20001 and 20227 at the Epping Ongar Railway

Renowned for their characteristic whistling sound when idling, tThe locomotives will operate 4 return trips to Ongar in top and tail formation, with some services also running into Epping Forest. We may mix the formation up during the day and also run one trip double headed!

Our steam hauled service will also be operating, and of course our vintage London buses will be providing inclusive connections to Epping Underground station (Central Line and in zone 6) too!

Timetable

Our regular steam and diesel train services will be in operation as well as the connecting 339 vintage London bus from Epping Underground and Shenfield stations.
