Our first bus event of 2022!

 

Our first bus event of 2022, sees the "end of an era" - our tribute to the passing of crew operation and the iconic Gibson ticket machine. We commemorate the last commercial use of the Gibson machine - possibly anywhere in the world.

The event will feature vehicles operating additional routes through the glorious Essex countryside. Further vehicles will be on display at North Weald station.

Additional Bus Routes and timetable

You can find the timetable for all the additional routes, together with vehicle allocations here. Vehicle allocations are subject to availability on the day. 

The normal route 339 bus service will also operate linking Epping Underground station with North Weald. Details of the 339 timetable can be found here.

 

Evening Photographic Road Run

An early evening photographic road run will take place at the end of the event using many of the event vehicles. For ticket holders wishing to attend this, then additional feeder buses will return to Epping (Route 339) and Chingford (Route 718) at the end of the road run. See the timetable for details.

 

Train services

You can find the times of the train services, together with times of the connecting 339 bus service here. Train services are planned to be operated by steam and diesel locomotives. 

 

 

Fares

The following great value fares apply today. Tickets are valid all day and offer unlimited travel on all our trains and heritage buses, including the additional bus services being operated as part of our bus event. 

Adult: £14;
Concession: £13;
Child: £7;
Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children): £36.

Children under 3 are free - no ticket needed.

BUS ONLY FARES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE. These are only valid on the bus services, and will not allow travel on the train services. These tickets can only be purchased on the day.
