British Railways Standard Class 4, 75069

Intended for secondary and cross country passenger trains, the standard class 4 locomotives were based on the Southern and London Midland regions. One of a total of 80 built,  75069 is one of the Southern Region examples. As such it has a larger tender due to the lack of water troughs on the Southern region network. Introduced in 1955 and initially based at Dover, 75069 ended its mainline career at Eastleigh depot in 1966. Rescued from Barry scrapyard in 1973, the locomotive returned to steam in 1984. Following expiry of the boiler certificate in 1994, 75069 then waited in the queue for overhaul at the Severn Valley Railway, where it is normally based, and not re-entering traffic until 2017 painted in British Railways lined black livery.

British Railways 94xx Pannier Tank, 9466

9466 is a British Railways built locomotive, though to a Great Western design. Built by Robert Stephenson and Hawthorn for heavy shunting and short freight work, the locomotive entered traffic in 1952. Finishing its short career in Wales in 1964, the locomotive was rescued from Barry scrapyard in 1975. In preservation, the locomotive has seen a period of main line running, and has also worked trains on the London Underground network.
