Whether you are an avid enthusiast or just looking for a fantastic family day out, we hold a number of exciting special events throughout the year. There's something for everyone - our wide range of events usually include family favourite children's character days, Easter fun and an immersive 1940s weekend. You can see and hear locomotives tackling our challenging gradients at our enthusiast gala events, and say cheers at our Real Ale weekend. Santa pays a visit at Christmas too!

For most events our connecting vintage bus services will operate from Epping Underground and Shenfield stations. Please check the event listing for details.

If there is no event shown on a particular date, do check our calendar as we may be running our standard steam and diesel heritage train services.
