Carriage, Wagon & Locomotive Department
Engines
DMU
We have the two driving cars from a three car DMU117 No's DMS 51384 & DMS 51342. Both in good working order and with new corporate colours.
Ruston
We have two Ruston 88s; one in working order No RH 512572 of 1965 and RH 398616 of 1956 (second image) out of service but used for spares and as a static display.
Works Trolley
We recently acquired a works trolley - useful when doing track maintainance.
Points Tug
Another new toy for the Permanent Way dept. A nice low flat bed and a small hiab will make moving sleepers and small amounts of ballast around much easier than trying to lift them onto a full sized wagon by hand.
Above: Badger when it arrived at EOR, Below: Badger once restored
Goods Wagons
One Shark brake (approx 1949). Running but being restored to one end. Well wagon in running order and used extensively.
Dogfish ballast hopper, in service but needs paint job.
Box van in regular use for Permanent Way duties.
Finnish Steam Engines
We also have on site 2 Finnish steam locos: a Pacific 2-6-4, and a Pacific 2-8-0. Both these engines are out of traffic and in need of repair and overhaul. We also have two wooden-bodied Finnish coaches both in running order but in need of internal refurbishment. It should be noted that the Finnish stock runs on 5 foot gauge and therefore could only be used on site as static displays or to house corporate events and entertainment.
